Canon 550D stock battery

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering how long the stock battery is supposed to last shooting video, I often find that my battery runs out after about 25 mins of shooting, is that normal, I recently purchased the camera with the battery.

I am using the original battery that came with 550D its LP-E8, after finishing 8 gig of video recording which is about 25 mins, the battery goes flat and I have to re-charge
 
I have the high quailty generic brand LP-E8 battery for $23 . They are reliable and work just like the stock battery.
