Canon 305 HD

Anyone work with this camera? I was talking to the rep a few weeks back and he said the show Hawaii Five O uses this camera for most of their footage.

I've been using an XF300 for a pretty diverse range of tasks, and my only major complaint is that its light sensitivity is pretty lackluster compared to the Sony cameras I had been using beforehand. It's been great for green screen/compositing work, and performs wonderfully when I take it out for nature videography. I've had to use about 6db of gain for most night-time shooting, which adds a bit of annoying grain, but isn't horrible - and it looks like cowpunk52's writeup has a partial solution for that. The XF300/305 won't have the same kind of depth of field control that the AF100 and newly-announced FS100 do, but 35mm adapters are flooding onto eBay at low prices now that video DSLR's and large-CMOS camcorders are in vogue (although that will eat another 1/2 stop of light or so)

Hawaii Five-O uses the RED MX, Canon 5D and 7D, Sony F35, and ARRI D-21, based on HDVideoPro's April 2011 magazine interview

Yeah, I read that artice, but in the interview, the DP clearly states he uses EX3s as well.

Either way, it doesn't mention XF305s at all. Watch the Spike TV series "Coal." They use XF305s in that show.

Saturday Night Live used the XF305 for their entire Emmy show intro skip/performance before it changed over to broadcast live cameras.
