Canon 2ti Body Only Where to Buy?

Sorry if this has already been posted (tried a search), but are there any places that sell the Canon T2i as a body only right now? Everywhere I look they say it's not in yet. Or perhaps they were in and are now out of stock.

I'm already much obliged to everyone who has been posting on here the last week, so much great footage and information, I just want in on the fun :)
 
I got mine locally. Seems like the big camera shops have been getting body only since wednesday of last week.
 
Brick and mortar. Even if they only have the kit in stock, you can request the body only configuration and they'll sell you the camera and take out the kit lens. Worth a shot.

Hmm, with Seattle's 9.3% sales tax I could probably buy it with the kit lens online for only $25 more:) Still good to know, I'll try to find some coupons and poke around tomorrow.

OUCH. Does your state have sales tax exemption for businesses? We have that here in TX but I hear it's different in other places. Worth looking into.

Got mine at kennmore camera in the Seattle area. I figure saving shipping offsets the tax (and you get it now). All that and you can feel good about supporting your local businesses ;)

Wow, doesn't make 9.3% seem quite as bad. Still, I'm going to dig around online and see if I can find one available (so far, no luck). I feel like I need to make every dollar stretch on this camera since it's less of a necessity and more of a indulgence.

If anyone spots one online out there, feel free to post a link here :)
 
Oh, and just checked, Samy's is sold out. Same with evsonline, calumet, most other places seem to say out of stock online, or the "not yet released" line.

I've been checking the bing cashback program about every hour on the hour. The only body only ones are $873.99 right now, which isn't bad with 8% back it gets it down to about $815. But they're all shipping from Hong Kong, and that could take forever.
 
I preordered mine through adorama and was guaranteed to get it shipped yesterday but they're telling me it's still on backorder. anyone ever have issues with adorama or is this just a canon issue?

I pre-ordered mine through adorama last wednesday. I just called the sales dept and all they could say when I asked them when they'd have them was "hopefully, soon". How did you get them to guarantee a ship date?
 
it was a verbal "guarantee." i guess it was my fault that i believed the salesman. i haven't found anywhere else online that has them in stock and there aren't any Canon dealers around here so i guess i'll just have to wait until whenever "soon" is.
 
Adorama has been a pretty trusted vendor in the past, I've bought from them often and had good experiences. I'm thinking this may be just the usual new camera out buying rampage, where no one can keep it in stock and no one can get a firm date for when more will be in. Supposedly Canon is better than other retailers at restocking, so hopefully in the next few weeks we'll all be taken care of. Still it is disconcerting that they'd give a verbal guarantee if they really couldn't guarantee it.
 
exactly, i knew they wouldn't be in until march 1st but if they would've been clear about the wait after march 1st i wouldn't be as annoyed. i ordered a 50 1.8 from them after and it's already on it's way so i'm sure it's an issue with canon. too many orders and not enough product. if anyone knows of a place that has them in stock right now please let me know.
 
Went ahead and canceled my order with Adorama and bought it through buy.com. Nathan from buy.com verbally guaranteed that since I ordered by phone and not paypal that it will be here by Friday.
 
Nice! Thanks Sean, I just ordered mine from Buy.com, $812 after shipping. They only have 4 more in stock though, so anyone else who wants one should purchase quickly. Just make sure you don't use a credit card that you haven't used in a while, otherwise it will go on hold and you'll have to talk to (currently) 5 people to straighten it out.
