Canon 24p !?

maybe they're just implementing some of hudson's hacks or just some stills stuff yawn.

the banding kills the GH1 for me I have to shoot my film with a lot of available light, the MKII has banding but it only seems to crop it's ugly head over 2000 ISO.

Hey guys, when you use a fully manual Nikon lens via adapter to the 5d/t1i/50d, can you take photos in aperture priority (Av) mode? Will it automatically set the shutter/iso for you and does it work properly?

That feature alone is enough for me to get rid of the d90 when/if the time comes for 24p 60d

That's a big disappointment I was really hoping for space invaders. I was so happy when I got some software for my make that ran all the old arcade machine game roms in emulation

Understandable. If the 60D is limited to 30p, then the ridiculous 30-24p conversion time kills that one for me.

I was told the same thing before Manual Controls came out. MC in July, no 24p ever on MKii and if it was possible, it would need to be sent in.

So I don't expect it but who knows?
Tim Smith said that same thing at the Canon Demo at Birns & Sawyer last week. Full manual was firmware. 24p would be hardware so there is no easy fix.

personally i tried converting my clip with compressor 3.5 from final cut studio 3, and i'm completely happy with it, no artifacts visible even on frame by frame, and a great filmlike, and especially, a very easy workflow

Did you do the same task with FCS 2? If so, is there any improvement?

Seems the 5D2 will be around for a bit if the 60D doesn't do 24p...

I wonder why panasonic is messing up soo much with the GH1 are they shipping for anyone here in the states?
