C100: Canon 24mm 2.8 IS Worth It??

I was wondering if anyone uses the 24mm 2.8 IS lens? I absolutely love the 35mm IS but it is f2.0 so it wasn't a hard choice to make for me. This new gen of IS is perfect for video now, I'm not sure if the 17-55mm for example can keep up.

That being said, is the 24mm 2.8 IS worth it over the 17-55? Any other wider lenses around with good IS?
 
I've never used the 24mm 2.8 IS, but in my limited testing of the 35mm 2.0 IS, I did not think the its IS was better than the 17-55mm 2.8 IS. The 17-55 is my go-to on the C100 when I go handheld.
 
I've just (finally) decided to order the 17-55mm. I've been so very hesitant about getting it due to stories of bad build etc. I have a feeling I'll either dislike it, or it will remain semi-permanently attached to my camera!
