Canon 24-70 or Sigma 24-70 for Video?

I use the Canon but had the Sigma for a long time. I'd get the Sigma for video in a second and spend the extra on lights, support, a fast prime, etc. I took some of the best pictures of my life with the Sigma, not the new more expensive one. I sold it for $300 so that would leave a big chunk of change to spend on other gear. Also the focus ring has hard stops at either end, something that I wished the Canon did. It is slower and noisier than the Canon focusing but you won't be using that with video.
