Can the early HVX200s models take the newest P2s?

I am referring to the newest 16 and 32 Gb P2 cards.
I read somewhere that the older models needed some firmware update (which Panasonic does for a fee) in order to work properly with the P2 cards.

The "newest" HVX200s come with free 16Gb P2 cards of course, and supposedly don't require any updates.

And all conveniently located at http://panasonic.sixbullets.net/.

I was nervous about toying with the firmware myself, but its a snap to do if you follow the instructions. The most important thing to make sure, is that you format your SD card with the camera before copying the firmware to it.
