Can the AF100 take a still photo?

I swear to god I read that you can snap small resolution jpegs with the AF100, but I can't find a single thing in Barry's book or the entire internet for that matter. If so, how?

It's in the book, it's the "CAPTURE" function that you assign to a user button.

Alright guys I captured some images and when i look at the files on my af100 I can see them, but when I move the sd card to the computer the picture files are not located in any directory within the card...help?

They're in the DCIM directory.

If you shoot progressive, you can simply take a still frame in Premier and it looks GREAT! I pulled some for a client and they are using them in brochures and web with great results.
At 300 dpi, you can print almost 6 1/2 inched wide without even enlarging it in Photoshop. The advantage of pulling a still frame is that you can choose the exact moment to freeze along with the ease of workflow with one file type.
