C100: Can Someone With a c100 Please Post An Action Shot In Slow Motion?

I'm considering a c100 right now, and would really like to see what I would be dealing with if I want to slow down an action shot for sports and wildlife. If anyone can help me out and try out a few samples, I sure would appreciate it. I can't find anything besides cowboypunk's test with flipping pages (which I appreciate also) and one youtube video of some girl rolling over on a bed.

Anyone have any birds flying, people running, action sports, etc. that they would be willing to try to slowdown so we can take a better look at it?

Yeah that's the one I saw. Thanks. Girl rolling over on a bed. I'm hoping to see a shot of someone running, or a critter moving. Humans playing a sport like soccer, football, kicking a ball, running, jogging, a horse running, coyote trotting in, bird flying over water, taking off, a pelican diving, something. :)

Yeah. It hasn't been sounding too good so far. Couldn't find any footage of the AF in action either. I keep hearing that people use the push button and keep pushing it constantly for things like sports and wildlife, but I have seen no example of that. I finally tried the button on a demo camera and it was super slow and hunted too much to be useable IMO. Too bad. I would be kind of nice for some of the filming I do, like when a coyote is trotting coming into a wildlife caller and you want to track him and keep in focus without moving too much. Obviously there are better cameras for this, but not that give the same high quality look for the same $$$.

Coincidentally... I am going to do some C100 slo-mo tests this weekend! I have put aside a chunk of the weekend to do various tests that I have been neglecting since Christmas. Also coincidentally there are pelicans that live across the road from me so you might be lucky lol. I'll post up the results though this will be my first attempt at a decent slo-mo so any pointers will help. I have Premiere and FCPX and will be recording to AVCHD and ProRes on a Ninja 2 for comparison.

Man that would be great. Can't wait to see what you find out. If you have a chance, can you try to record something using the push button AF as well. Just so we can show if it would be useable for sports or wildlife?

Thanks!

I too will be very interested in seeing that.

Bar slow motion the C100 would be perfect for me.
I would need it for Sports.

Kinda playing around with it with friend, no sports shots or anything but was pretty impressed. I slowed it down with twixtor pro in AE. Will post tonight

Also gonna shoot something more "sporty" tomorrow. So far as long as the shutter speed is high enough its pretty clean. Would still love 60p but could totally work with what its got.

Thanks man.

Were you shooting in 60i or were you slowing down 30 footage?

Phil

Also very interested as this is the main issue holding me back from making a C100 purchase. If the slow motion is unusable, I cannot justify the cost.

Fashion Show with C100 - Handheld - Slow motion. Just for FUN.

Thanks for that. But, it would be nice if you shared process of how you did. We might learn something or at the same time help you on your process. For us C100 shooters I think we should combine forces to come up with some solutions for over cranking.

Thanks a lot for sharing the video. I was actually quite surprised the hands stayed decently sharp. They aren't moving that fast to begin with, but still pretty decent. Do you mind if I ask how much slower that was over normal speed, what you shot in (I'm assuming AVCHD to SD cards), what you used to slow it down, etc.?

Hopefully we get to see some action sports or wildlife shots soon too. :) And I agree on sharing info on how to get the most out of the c100.

I went out to shoot some slo-mo footage on Sunday, but there was noone out on the water! No windsurfers, paragliders, jetskiers, no pelicans or seagulls! Was the quietest I've ever seen it, a total fail, I think everyone went to Surfers Paradise instead as it was an awesome no clouds 32°C day. I'll give it another go this weekend, I'm keen to try it out.
