Can someone make a list of excellent Nikon manual lenses which work well with the 7D?

I read that some lenses have some issues if attached to the 7D. While looking on ebay I saw many manual Nikons and don't really know which to buy.

Thank you in advance to who ever posts a list or some good info here.

In general, they're all fine. Only the rare lens will have clearance issues. For reviews of manual Nikon lenses that discuss optical, mechanical, and build quality, check here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/nikkor.htm#mf

You might be able to determine if a lens will have clearance issues or not by looking at pictures of the rear end. As I said, the vast majority of lenses are fine, so making visual comparisons should be easy.

AIS 24mm f2 is a dud. Avoid that one.
Be careful of the 28 f2.8's some are great some are crap. series E of that one is bad.
The 28 f2 is a gem.
The 35 f1.4 is great, the AIS 35 f2.8 and 3.5 be careful as some are real crap.
50/1.4 you can't go wrong

note: all of the above mentioned are manual focus versions

24mm f2.8 AFS or Manual
50mmf1.8
105mmf.25 the older Metal body is Awsome.. holds Adapters like the prima anamorphic well/

just won a 50mm 1.4 on ebay (with the adapter was only about $76 shipped)

Also recently won a vivitar (nikon mount) 70-210 3.5 with macro, its a push pull which is kinda odd, but really a pretty nice zoom for pretty darn cheap (only about $70 with the adapter)

jon!
