GH2 Can someone explain what bad bokeh looks like?

I've looked at a few articles and watched a few videos, but I still cannot understand what makes one lens superior in bokeh. For example, I tried using a cheap $30 f/1.7 cctv lens (one that reviews criticized the boken) with my GH2 and to my eyes it looks fine, although admittedly I do not have the best eyes. :) What should I be looking for specifically? And how would, say, a $1,000 Voigtlander's bokeh be so much better?

Bad bokeh is distracting, or just ugly. Like causing one line to be multiple, or some swirly stuff, or lights that should be discs but instead you get rings, and not even round ones. OOF highlights that aren't round is often considered ugly.

Here's a thought... for get 'bokeh' completely and shoot with deep focus. You may have to learn how to light to separate subject from fore and background... but heck... It'll look a lot better, and leave the bokeh peepers to their fuzzy images.
