Can only burn 2.49 Gb of MXF files onto a 25Gb BD-R disk!!!

Hey everyone. I just bought a LG BE08LU20 external blu-ray burner to archive my HPX170 footage. It came with a Verbatim 25Gb BD-R blank disk. I tried burning 16GB worth of MXF files from my HDD onto the 25Gb disk and it only allows me to burn 2.49 Gb and says there isn't enough space to burn more!!! I must be doing something wrong here. Can someone please help me out? By the way, I was able to burn 7.95Gb of the same footage onto a Verbatim Dual Layer DVD disk with no problems, using a regular dvd burner. ????

This is not an HPX/P2 issue. If you have a Mac, you might try the FCP forum. In additon, you have provided no specific information to help you.
 
I have to agree with Dick. What does this have to do with the 200 or 170?

Shouldn't you be contacting LG's support forum or department and asking them?

Moreover, how can someone assist if you haven't identified what OS, computer, or burn software you are using, or whether this is an eSATA drive, Firewire, or USB2.

Are you using Toast 9 or Toast 10 with the blu ray plug in?
