CAN NTSC XH A1 be converted to PAL...

Please help me with this problem..

Im new to camcorders so I bought a S/h xh a1 still in warranty til Feb. 09.
I only found out afew weeks later that the cam is ntsc and not PAL which
I understood I was buying. Is their anyway that I can convert this camera
to pal. as the seller wont take it back. I think I have
been well and truley stung...
ps. If its possible to convert will this changeover create more problems
eg. Audio sync. etc.

Yes...send it to a Canon service center and they will make it NTSC/PAL switchable. It'll cost you $500 US. All you'll have to do is go into the menu to switch formats.
