can I view MXF-Files on AVID 5.5.3.?

Hallo,

can I open and edit MXF-files on an AVID XPress Pro 5.5.3 (shot on a HVX200)?

Or do I neet another version of the programme (or even an AVID Media Composer)?

I don't necessarily guarantee that I remember properly, but I believe that any version of XPress Pro from 5.2.3 onwards supports HVX200 files.

I'm using Avid XpressPro HD 5.1.5 and just got the hvx200. Avid has no problem recognizing the mxf files. I'm able to edit and playback in realtime, but when i go to export to qt ref, Playback only has sound. I tried outputting to avi but it didnt work either. Not sure what to do next? Any help while i'm waiting for your book, Barry?
