Can I use this to ingest P2 cards?

I think you answered the question yourself. You might be able to use it in combination with windows on your MBP but I think it wouldn't be worth the trouble. Have a look at this site --> http://www.duel-systemsadapters.com/ they sell an adapter that works under
OSX, but do some more research on it because I heard from several people that it doesn't run very stable....

Anyone else had problems with the Duel Adapter's build quality? I've gone through 2 in two years and am loath to pony up for another one. A shooter that I hire frequently currently has THREE of these, One to use, one for backup, and the third to back the first two up. It continues to confound me (a mac user) that the weakest link of the process is a flimsy adapter...

And no, I do not want to get a dedicated laptop or device just to offload. Everytime I'm on a shoot with a Sony SxS camera I get this dreamy look...

YES, mine just crapped out and only 18 mo old.

Solution = buy another one.

I think I'll buy a PCMCIA laptop now. This is ridiculous, Duel is crap and their customer support is even crappier.

Hi,

Yes get a windows lappy or maybe an old powerbook, OR, You may want to wait a few weeks till Sonnet guys bring out the QIO reader, not "cheap as" like the Duel, but will be great on the Mac platform i'm told, and so versatile it may be a "revolution".

It promises to be the next best thing....we should know soon.
