C100: Can Canon 17-55 2.8 be used w/ GH4 and C100

So I understand to use the Canon 17-55 2.8 w/ a speedboosted GH4 there's a plastic piece on the rear of the lens that needs to be removed but does anyone know if the lens can still be used with a Canon body (specically a c100) once this piece has been removed? If not how difficult is it to put that piece back into the lens?

I ask because I hope to use the lens on both cameras

Thanks

Removing the EF-S ring doesn't keep it from mounting on an actual Canon body.

So:

With ring = Canon APS-C/S35 bodies only
Without ring = speedbooster + Canon APS-C/S35 bodies

The only side effect is it can now be mounted onto a full-frame 35mm body also, where it will vignette... some of the EF-S lenses can apparently also contact the mirror (thus causing damage) on a full-frame body too, but I'm not sure if the 17-55mm is one of them.
