Can any dslr 'cinema' kits be used with different camera formats?

[Jodorowsky]

Hey everyone,

Has anyone had any success using the kits for their dslr's (i.e. mattebox, rods, plates, mounts, follow focus) with other format cameras (i.e. XHA1, EX1/3, RED). Are these bundles only usable by dslr format cameras?

I want to purchase a RedRock cinema bundle, but their pricetags, like Zacuto's, are pretty high. I wouldn't mind paying $2,000, however, if I could also use the bundle with my other cameras - full size prosumer video cameras, and, potentially, the Scarlet when it come out. Has anyone had any success using these bundles with their other cameras?

Thanks for the help.

Short answer: Yes, but swapping cameras may need some adjustment but no biggie.

Depends on what and which cam... Generally speaking some components can be interchanged, others not.

Similar question. I'm about to purchase a used Redrock Cinema Bundle for my 7D and I'm wondering if I can use the follow-focus, matte box, etc on an Sony EX1.

Has anyone had experience with this?

Thanks.
