Camera support for DVX100A

Hi people, i'm looking at getting a camera support system to achieve those gliding shots at a budget and came across these two.

SmoothKam

Hague camcorder stabilizer

One is considerably cheaper than the other and i'm wondering whether to go with it. Does anyone have any experience or advice of both please?

those types of devices usually tend to be cheap alternatives to true "gliding" shots that a steadycam would provide. You might want to simply try building that infamous $14 steadycam that is linked everywhere online, it seems like these devices aren't that different from it.

Actually, those devices *should* perform better then the $14 handle - they have a gimble - by the looks of it not one with bearings (though that's just speculation), bit it's still a gimble and should yield decent shots for the money.

Thanks guys, I don't have the skill or time to go for the $14 option, so i'll probably just go with the cheaper one (Smoothkam). I was a bit worried that unlike other systems i've seen, it only has one set of weights, but maybe that's all it needs? Thanks again.
