Camera Stabilization Systems For Rent? (Where are they?)

[Domis Entertainment]

Both Zacuto.com and Fletcher.com dont carry any camera stabilizers .Even a shoulder mount would work, but preferably a stabilization system from Tiffen, Varizoom or Glidecam. I'm here in Chicago, but If I have to order from out of state it is fine. Where can I find stabilizers for rent? Even a shoulder mount would be great! Need it by next weekend. Any help is much appreciated.

rental stabilaizers are kind of hard to find, as they are sort of delicate and they take considerable experience to use properly...

what is iyt specifically you want to do? have you used a stabilizer before?

most Stadicams are owned by operators who may or many not "dry-hire" the equipment out to others. You will definatly need to demonstrate you know what you are dooing before beeing rented the gear.

Check out www.steadicam-ops.com for a list of local operators.

You could rent a couple of Kenyon gyros.
