ALL: Camera Case Deal

Found a great deal on a camera case and wanted to let everybody know about it. I just received my 130a about a week ago and my current case would not work. Looking through some old posts, I found one by LanceOregon on November of 2011. He showed a photo of his 130 in a Kata D-Light Capsule-183 so I knew my new camera would fit... I found the Kata Capsule-183 HDV Case (same thing... different name) at Amazon for $39.00. It fits snug and offers good protection. I have a separate bag for audio and other accessories, so extra space in the camera bag isn't required. Going up to the Kata 185 would have been a $150 jump.

Great deal if anyone can use a case. Only 9 left when I last looked. Mine arrived today and it looks and works great.

Yes, saw the same posts/recommendation, and it works very well with the AC90, accommodating the camera with shotgun mic attached. I purchased the modification kit and changed the interior around to suit my needs...excellent deal.

It says under the product info that the interior dimensions for that bag are about an inch shorter than the actual length of the ac130a but in that picture it looks to fit perfectly. Is there any special way to arrange the camera so that it does fit? Does it have any trouble zipping up? Also, is there extra room for things like a shotgun mic etc.?

It is a good fit. I had a shoot this afternoon and evening, so I just now had a chance to put the camera in. Nothing special. I adjusted the sides of the case to rest against the camera so it sits straight and instead of using the lens pillow underneath, I put it on the right side just behind the lens hood. The back partition, I adjust to sit just behind the camera body and under the EVF. Because of the short space from the mike mount to the front of the lens hood, you may have to loosen the mount and slide the mike out and lay it in beside the camera (I think Mike Beckett already pointed that out).

I didn't have a problem zipping up the bag and I have the power supply, batteries, and charger in the case with room for more (there are two small pockets inside). There is also an outside pocket to stow cables, white card, etc. It also has an adjustable strap on the inside, with a clasp, that you can use to further secure the camera.

The case also came with a rain cover for the camera case. I'll have to admit... that was a new one for me. I hope this is helpful.
