Camera Backpack

I'm going to be going on a trip to Kenya soon and making a documentary and I'm hoping to carry my camera equipment and some clothes with me on the plane. I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on a bag that affordable and small. I only have the 7D, 2 lenses and a zoom h4n so nothing extremely fancy.

Any suggestions will be great

I recently bought the $70 Lowepro Pro Runner 200 AW Backpack that davidpula linked to for my T2i, and it seems to be a well built backpack, with substantial padding. Perhaps a bit on the smaller size, but large enough for your needs, I think.

I don't know where you are located, but they carry these backpacks at retail places like BestBuy (and Ritz Camera, I believe), so you could have a look at one if you are near one of these places.

I recently bought the Kata 3n1 22 and love it! Has a myriad of configurations for carrying depending on what you want to do with it. Very sturdy, lots of room for you camera and sound equipment. I quite love this bag. My version allows me to carry along a small netbook too, but there are versions that don't have this option if you're trying to slim it down.

I just bought this and it's a great bag for the money. I refuse to spend hundreds of dollars on a backpack, however good it may be!!

Hey, how tall are you? Because, I own this same bag, and at six feet tall, I find this bag doesnt sit very comfortably when filled up with gear. It actually hurts my back in prolonged periods of use. has this ever occurred to you??

thanks

this canon one sells at best buy for $80 but on amazon for $40

i own it, it has been great for me. i have it loaded down with a 7d, and a crapload of lenses. it has taken me across europe and to every shoot locally. i'd buy it again when it breaks.

Great bag, but honestly it's too small. You cannot fit a laptop with that bag as I won it and will be selling it soon because of this. If that bag were about 6 inches longer it would be perfect.

If you are only going to carry a camera though and 2-3 lenses that bag is nice, but when you begin to upgrade you will find out you need more room..... So IMO it is better to buy something "bigger" that will allow you to upgrade your gear and still have space.
