T2i Camera Armor (& other new-to-dslr-ponderings)

Speaking as a former DVX owner, and soon-to-be (tomorrow! whoo!) t2i owner, I've recently picked up on the somewhat recent industry swing towards DSLRs. In retrospect I probably should have bought a 7D last year instead of that miniDV beast that is the DVX. (Blasphemous on dvxuser.com I know.)
I had it for almost a year but still my rig sold only enough for me to budget a t2i with a couple lenses (Canon 50mm 1.8 & 18-135mm 3.5-5.6) & a zoom h4n. Meaning I'm trying to keep up the professionalism with the switch, and as far as image quality goes it's definitely an upgrade. However, the 'flimsiness', 'plastic-y', 'sunshine-only' internet attitudes of the t2i's more compact body have made me want to save up just a little more for that rugged 7D... ........until I read about Camera Armor!
(I have held/shot with both and I think some of those adjectives really only apply when compared to its big bros, but still, it's shell is plastic)*

So looking up CA's stock, they have every Canon just about except the t2i. Sorry if someone has already posted about this, but how do they not have armor for the best-selling camera on the market right now? Granted it has only been 4 months, but no news, no advice about applying other models (450D's skin etc) to fit the next in line. Has anyone had any luck fitting other models? Their site does say "Body Armor is custom engineered for each model DSLR"....

A couple googles later, one Amazon reviewer says: "I emailed camera-armor, and they reported: "We currently do not have any plans on releasing Camera Armor for the Canon T2i. We apologize for the disappointment." But they say to stay tuned for new products." Haa well I might have answered my own post... unless someone has tried other skins with success?

I would not put camera armor on any dslr, let a lone the t2i which can experience overheating. Placing that armor is asking for trouble. I suggest you buy the battery grip for it and then you wil see how great it feels.

The t2i is an amazing camera.

Okay, interesting. I'm supposing those are designed more for still photography then? ..And I've heard those grips are great, been meaning to check them out. Anyone in particular? Thanks.
