General Camera Advice

I'm going to be traveling a lot and I need to pack small and light.
Sorry for asking, but I just havent been in the loop with cameras lately.

I would like video mode too.
If I have to install ML, I will.
Slow-motion =

Something small, and compact.

Around the 1K range or 1K range (used).

What are your recommendations?

What are your priorities regarding sharpness and DR? What cameras do you use, which you like, but wouldn't be suitable for this because they are too big?

(pocket, D5300, NX500, a5100/a6000, would be great options, but which one is best *for you* depends on what you like and what you need) (personally, my choice would be the a5100/a6000 with sigma 19mm f/2.8 and 30mm f/2.8; because I care more about DR than about resolution -so, no Samsung or Panasonic- and you said you want small -no Nikon- and with slow motion -no pocket-)
