I own a Came 7500 rig that stopped working after fine tuning with Alexmos software. Came technical service just sent me a dropbox link to download a zip with factory settings, but the link does not work. after several unanswered emails, I want to report these events in this forum, for anyone to buy them. just want to sell without support ..
I've thrown away $ 1180

sorry to hear that - I was about to purchase myself - guess I'll look for an alternative now.

Perhaps you should send them a link to this post

That is terrible although suspected. I've dealt with Came before on a few things related to a product that had a stuck nut from factory. They were quick to respond but I found the language barrier very difficult when explaining a tech issue. I ended up making a video of the issue which helped.

I was looking at these cheap gimbals but its the type of product where paying a few hundred more for something with better support might be worth it. I've been looking at the Ronin & Birdycam from Varavon. Was waiting to compare to the Came 7800 when it comes out but you just reminded me why I don't want to go down that route.

I almost bought the 7500, but stumbled across a great deal on a barely used Defy G2 that someone was looking to unload. I read a mix of reports about Cametv's service, from good despite the language barrier to non-existent.

Check some of the quadcopter forums, there are a lot of people building 3-axis systems from scratch so there's a wealth of knowledge, hopefully someone can help with your issue or you can find a shop that can help to upgrade your system to something functional. Good luck.

on an upside, I bought a couple LED lights from them (other side of globe) and they arrived quickly. I did a hard two week burn in testing during return period, no problems, still working great. have NOT had to contact or deal with support though.

been following the 7500, but it is still iffy. and they made a new one also, the 8000? we'll see how things go with them. at least they are forcing the prices down over things like the $5000 movi

Sorry for your problem with them, I've yet to receive issues... Of course, I understand they are about 13 hours ahead of me, so when I email them I wait about 24 hours...

The thing about gimbals is they need to be supported via the hardware and the software based, the problem with many of these sellers is that they only sell the hardware and support the hardware as they have no clue about the software or the open source Alexemos board that they are authorized to sell it with. Which hence you will have to go to Alexemos' website to get software support if the thing doesnt work or google or look at several youtube videos or join a few user groups.

Which is why I created a blog with all the useful information that I can possible get so I myself can just go to that page anytime I want and get the information needed (it has helped a lot others too).

If you need profiles to try it out with (or the ones from Came-TV) or need other video references or need to find out which user group to join, feel free to read through this long blog: http://www.mdifilm.com/2013/?p=1291

Came-tv is mainly a hardware selling company, and their product isn't bad, nor their customer support (From a China based firm that I've dealt with daily basis compared to others from Asia) it is a la par and sometimes great. but expecting them to know everything about the software will not going to help you get what you need... Cause they don't and their lack of communication in English (I get frustrated a times when communicating with them in English - so once in a while I would google translate them to Chinese) :P

Going into the gimbal world isn't a 'buy it once-get it working' world, even with Movi or Besteady and what not, it takes some time to balance, and it may need to do more tuning (even when auto tuning exist), especially when working with the Alexemos controller board, etc. I've read a lot of horror stories from all these forums besides came-tv's. The only difference is, Came-TV gimbals are probably the lowest in the market that works well compared to the others and had sold enough of it that there is a huge user groups that support their gimbals that you can easily find help with
