That's a lot of conspiracy mongering. Gonzalez is not some kind of Manchurian Candidate being groomed or having been noticed and not some kind of secret agent. We have enough corruption without having to invent more sinister plots. If you want to clean up corruption, get money out of politics and banish the lobbyists - but of course the usual suspects are happy to keep the money flowing and instead complain about nonsense.
As to the link about adult entertainment, again, that's a lot of nonsense. It's not going to drive the adult entertainment business out of CA - there will be almost zero impact in that regard. A much worse law was passed a few years ago that has really damaged the adult industry in CA - the condom law; that was a body-blow and it's had a devastating impact. That's an example of a really economically destructive law, but ironically it was not promoted by politicians, instead it was the brainchild of a egomaniacal activist. So can't blame that one on politicians, but it was almost a death sentence for the industry here.
Then the condom law was looked again by voters and hopefully the damage will be reversed - to some degree. For more see here:
L.A. County saw a 95% drop in porn film permits. With the condom law defeated, the industry looks to make its return.
Again, and again and again - the voters have to be active! It is up to us to hold politicians accountable! Sadly this is where we fall short. A democracy cannot survive an unengaged citizenry. As noted by Benjamin Franklin, the Founding Fathers gave us a Republic if we can keep it. I intend to fight. How about you?
