On the C70 when outputting to HDMI, if you change the display so that the boarders are on the image (where the display info surrounds the image), then the HDMI output reduces the size of the image and leaves the black boarders around the outputted image, but without the display info. I'm recording the HDMI output so I don't want the black boarders (and display info (which is rightfully not showing up on the HDMI output)) on my image, but do ideally want to be able to have the black boarders on the camera's LCD screen. I haven't had this issue with the C300 Mark III. Is there a setting I can change so toggling between the three different display options does not result in the black boarder going to the HDMI output?
