C500: C500 MkII / C300 MkIII Monitor Mounts

I guess I'm just stuck in my ways and having shot so much sports over my career, I place a lot of emphasis on the EVF. A good one is worth its weight in gold(fortunately they're not priced like that, anymore).

If I shot shoulder mounted more than once or twice a year, I would too but since the Pandemic, I am not shooting BTS, the home of shoulder mounted shooting. Mostly tripod, slider and gimbal, very little hand held this year.

I did my first handheld C200 shoot yesterday in a long while and utilized the EVF Pro. I just use the joystick to select things and move the focus box and don't really care about touch screen most of the time.
The Graticals are nice, very nice, but I'm too cheap and need too many other pieces.

Yeah. I snagged this Gratical a while back as zacuto b-stock for like $700. It supposedly had a dead pixel. It doesn’t or I can’t see it. There’s no way I’d spend new Gratical money on an EVF, but for that cost it solved a problem for me at the time. Since then, I’ve grown to really like it. I need to try out the C200 Zfinder they have up at the uni I teach at and see how it compares.

For my monitor, I kind of want to try one of the Shape push button magic arms. I think I’d like the restricted motion... I get frustrated with needing both hands to adjust most magic arms.

Now if I could just get Zacuto to ship my right angle cable for the 18-80mm.

For me, at least, I want a real EVF anytime I'm really operating, whether that's on the shoulder or sticks. I just feel more connected to the camera(and you are) and am able to operate much more precisely, especially if it's a quick move or having to follow someone constantly moving and with more precision. And to check focus...

Now you kids, get off my lawn. Dan, you can pull up a lawn chair and stay a while. You're old, too. Lol
