C500: C500 Mark II: V-lock battery levels

Curious if anyone using V-lock or other non-canon batteries is able to get any kind of reading in the OSD as to battery life remaining. I received my EU-V2 a few days ago and have had a single 230wh battery on it for 3+ hours of runtime. The battery indicator still reads full, and the only indication of battery is the voltage which has incrementally dropped. Is there a way to get a reading as to minutes or percentage of battery left. Its certainly not a horrible problem to have a battery this "full" after 3 hours...but it would be nice to know where I am on a battery. I've done a cursory search through the manual and am not seeing it mentioned anywhere.

All of my batteries have been Vitec Anton Bauer for a long time now. The readings are insanely accurate.

Perhaps Canon will make a V-mount some day to have an accurate reading on screen. Or at least be able to use meta data from a battery?

Yeah I'm doubtful this battery (Soonwell) has any kind of communication with the camera. The battery itself has a 4 step LED meter so I guess that will be good enough, and maybe I can get a read on the voltage drop compared to remaining time. Showing my stripes here...are there commercial (non-canon) batteries that do communicate with cameras via metadata etc? (thinking about it...my aputure 300D II gives me a "time remaining" readout, that is generally a little conservative, but otherwise accurate, with the same batteries...so it must be possible for Canon to do the same thing).

I have a similar issue with non-Sony batteries on my F55, it only gives voltage in the VF instead of %(which is weird because Sony broadcast cameras give you % in the VF for third party batteries, like A/B's). But it's not the end of the world, because my Core's show runtime to the minute on their built-in display. Not as convenient as in the VF, but they run forever, so you don't have to constantly check.

Forever is right. I’m at 4 1/2 hours easily, and the voltage is still above 15. (Started at 16.4, LB warning set to 13).
