Hi all,
I'm trying to troubleshoot a couple of things with my uploads to YouTube. I started another thread about aspect ratios but thought it best to keep this one to a seperate thread.
I've noticed that sometimes, when I shoot, edit and then deliver - the picture shot on the C500 II can be quite 'choppy'. You can see it in movements of the head and even (if you look closely) when the lips are moving whilst speaking.
Have a look at this (you will see the choppiness particularly in the opening part):
(Note: the above video is one of a series of tests I'm conducting for a new satirical news show I'm putting together).
This was shot at 25fps, 4k XF AVC. I believe the shutter is set to angle at 180.00.
There isn't an awful lot of movement in the video - i'm not attempting to do quick pans or anything.
The footage looks ok in the edit timeline (using da vinci resolve studio). However I output it, though, it looks choppy. Weirdly, other third party lower res footage on the same timeline looks fine (quality is bad, but the 'choppiness' isn't there).
I have the project settings to match (4k dci, 25fps). Iv'e tried numerous different delivery settings and it doesn't seem to make much difference. I'm a bit stumped. Other videos shot with the exact same settings (both in camera and in the edit) don't appear to have the same problem.
