C500: C500 II Rear EVF Not Working

Hi there. We're doing camera prep for a shoot tomorrow with my friend's C500 II. He just got his rear EVF attachment in the mail today and it doesn't seem to be working. Is there a setting that needs to be activated to get the camera to acknowledge the rear EVF? The EVF settings in the Canon menu are all greyed out, and cannot be accessed, so the camera does not seem to be seeing that the EVF is connected and attached.

Any ideas?

Just a couple of random thoughts.. the expansion unit manual specifically says the evf-v50 will not work if it is attached while the camera is on. Hard to imagine connecting it with the camera hot, but just in case. The other is just a possibility — maybe go into the monitoring setup and turn off the eye sensor, if that wasn’t working right, it could keep the evf from turning on. Beyond that I got nothin’. Liam has this evf— i think he mutt be off the grid right now.

Thanks for the help Barry. The problem randomly resolved itself after a second restart. Not sure what was going on, but it’s working now, so I’ll take it.
