C500: C500 II / Arri Amira - Weight / Power Comparison

This is a question for all the C500 II and the Amira owners out there.

Any idea how much the Arri Amira weighs, with a short/compact 98wh battery and the EF mount installed vs the C500 II with the touchscreen LCD, rear EVF and the BP-A60 installed?

And would the Amira get roughly the same amount of battery life out of a 98wh battery that the C500 II gets out of a BP-A60?

I'm sure I could find this info out if I dug for a while and added up the specs, but often times reality differs greatly from specs. So I figured I'd ask some owners out there.

The boot time on the C500ii is just a few seconds, by the time you swap a battery and reframe, the camera is typically already ready for record. While i know that doesn’t answer your question, just factoring that in as a feel. Makes battery swaps a non issue for shoots with shorter takes. I didn’t even have to announce i was changing a battery.

Alan Roberts EBU analysis says the Amira "typically" uses 50watts. The C500 typical range is 34 watts (or lower) with a maximum of 63 watts -- not sure what the maximum would be other than with the camera powering other accessories or perhaps with the jet engine fan running full tilt (it's rather impressive on high, although can be set to be barely audible while shooting.) Don't know the weights of all the items you've specified, but the Base Amira is more than twice as heavy as the C500II, and the BP-A60 is probably a little lighter than a 98wh v-lock, although probably close to some of the mini v-locks. Haven't really paid attention to the life I'm getting out of the BP-A60, but it's a little over two hours...so probably 20% more than an Amira with a 98wh battery. Eric might have more info on that.

Amira is around 1 hr 20 min with my Anton Bauer Digital 90 batteries. I more often use Intellytech 280w batteries which give around four hours of battery life. I think power draw on the Amira is 60w, perhaps it'd be 50w without the viewfinder. With the Intellytech's I also often have an 11w SmallHD 702 running off of them.

Weight of the Amira, viewfinder, top handle, I think is around 13.4 lbs. My C300 Mark II base setup with LCD, top handle, battery, etc., without a lens is around 7-8 lbs, 6-7 lbs without battery. C500 Mark II is similar weight to C300 Mark II.

My typical Amira setup with lenses and everything is 24 lbs, about 28-30 lbs.
