C500: C500 audio issues

Hello,

Just picked up a used C500 a few weeks ago.

I recorded two separate audio channels coming into the XLR ports on camera. XLR1 was a Rode NTG-3 boom with phantom power for on camera. XLR2 was a wireless Lectrosonics feed from a board with a MIC level input XLR.
The wireless feed was clean, but the boom mic ended up not being so. I used headphones for a good portion of the event and things seemed fine. I stopped monitoring with headphones because the room was so loud I couldn't hear the feed and I didn't have my noise cancellation heads with me.. No problem, I'll just monitor the levels in camera.

All audio settings are untouched or set to zero.

Turns out in previewing the footage in post that the boom mic feed was distorted even though the db levels read in Premiere as good.

Unfortunately I'm almost certain its the C500 monitor unit that is the issue. I think its the unit because I am getting a strange red screen on the c500 monitor at times. This leads me to believe that the 2 feeds to the camera have wiring issues. The pins seem fine to me though; so maybe it is in the cable?

I had a similar like issue with my c100 where we couldn't use a boom in xlr1 for some reason.

Does anyone have any input here or has any one experienced anything similar?
