C300: C300mkII Firmware/upgrade wishlist

Hi all,
Just wondering what everyone would be interested in seeing in a firmware upgrade to the C300mkII. Maybe if enough people make noise somebody somewhere might catch wind. This also might serve as a good list of 'gotchas' or things the camera can't or should be able to do.

Personally, I'd like to see:
-Magnification while recording (duh right?)
-FUNC access from depressing the joystick (like on a c100)
-Audio meters set inside the black border for the secondary overlay option
-Monitor out SDI to not crop when viewing the black border overlay mode while display out is off.
-The option to keep shutter angle the same while changing framerates. Currently, the camera auto adjusts the shutter to keep the same exposure at the new framerate.

What are your thoughts?

-FUNC access from depressing the joystick (like on a c100) MISS THIS SO MUCH!!! JUST NATURALLY GO TO DO IT AND NOTHING HAPPENS!
-Audio meters set inside the black border for the secondary overlay option - PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN
-Monitor out SDI to not crop when viewing the black border overlay mode while display out is off. - PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN

There are so many menu items that I use all the time that I wish could be assigned to buttons

+1 on the Func access and magnification whilst rolling.

I'm going to add not loosing external monitor feed from the SDI when switching to cropped high speed mode, importing and using your own LUTs and as no one's gone there already, 4K 60 frames per second (even if it is to an external recorder)

4K 60 is admittedly a pipe dream, but would certainly round out the feature set of the camera rather nicely.

I ran into this as well. Turns out the camera switches to a 60P pipe over HD-SDI when going above 30P in S&F. Some monitors accept it (all my TVLogics and the Odyssey 7Q) while other monitors don't (no luck with the SmallHDs).

This is a SMPTE standard, #425. So you've got to make sure the monitor is capable of supporting it.

Strangely, it appears that some monitor's can in fact handle 60P, but only over the HDMI.

The shutter angle changing with the framerate change is very annoying. There's a lot of seemingly obvious issues with the menu/functions that make me think they really rushed this portion of the camera. But why these functions didn't carry over from the mark 1 makes no sense to me, as if they had to start the whole thing from scratch.

+1 for Joystick FUNC button, magnification while recording, and shutter angle constant when changing frame rates.

I would like to see the camera be able to use different gammas for external recording in 4K. Right now you are limited to CLOG2 in 4K because it's only outputting RAW in 4K. How about just a straight 4K output. I talked with the Canon reps at GV expo and they kinda implied they are exploring being able to allow regular CLOG to be one of the gammas for external 4K recording (presumably to match older Canon cameras). A lot of my of my clients want 4K in ProRes, but don't want to grade it.

Maybe it's me doing something wrong, but I can't get my external monitor working through SDI with LCD and EVF at the same time! I don't understand why! with my C300mark1 this was no problem.
