C300: C300mk2 + Movi M10

I rented the Movi M10 for a project this week with the C300M2. I was really frustrated by the process of balancing the camera on the stabilizer. It appears to me that the camera is really bottom heavy. I am using the Canon 24-70L ii, as I wanted to take advantage of the dual AF. I am also having a problem with vertical tilt because of the EVF being to big. Has anyone used this combination?? Any suggestions or helpful tips for configuring the camera and balancing??? Thanks.

Is the on-board VF diopter removable? A friend of mine used to have to remove the one on his original 300 when he used it on his Ronin, because it hit, too.

The diopter is not removable. Try a Letus Helix if you can, it works fine with C300 Mark 2 and 24-70 L II.

I tried the MK II on an M10 - got frustrated enough that I went to an M15. M15 works very nicely.
