C300: C300MK1 has died! HELP!

Hello,

So my buddy was using my C300mk1 on a wedding shoot today and it randomly died after 2 shots.

We tried different batteries, removing all cards and leaving the battery out for a while but nothing worked. It doesn't boot and the screens are black. I did leave a battery in with the power on for a couple of hours just now and the base of the camera is slightly warm and the battery is using power. I have also tried using the reset button on the back of the camera.

I'm going to probably have to send it in to Canon but does anyone have any idea what might have caused this?

NOTE: From what I understand the camera lens wasn't hot swapped or anything.

Probably a given, but have you tried the camera with a Canon lens? This happened to me once on my C100 when the Sigma lens's autofocus stopped working, and the camera would not turn on unless we used an actual Canon lens.

Damn I didn't think of this! I only tried my Tamron and Tokina lenses but not my Canon!

It's away with Canon Repair now so we'll see what they say.
