I rarely fly and if so, I take everything that would allow me to have a minimalistic shoot in the cabin with me.
I always wanted a nice Pelicase with built in trolly (this: http://www.peli.com/eu/en/product/watertight-protector-hard-cases/medium-case/air-case/1535/),
but have this prejudice: If fully packed and heavy, every small bump becomes a heavy hit for my gear, doesn't it?
I wouldn't use foam, but the TrekPak dividers.
And when flying, I have always been lucky and they didn't weight my backpack - but with a hardcase like that I'm pretty sure I would get checked (and I'm always over the weight limit...).
Any personal insight?
Backpack wise I was looking at these:
http://store.lowepro.com/pro-runner-rl-x450-aw-ii Trolly and Backpack, but probably to big for carry-on.
https://www.thinktankphoto.com/coll.../products/airport-accelerator-camera-backpack carry-on save
http://www.tenba.com/de/products/cineluxe-backpack-21.aspx. Like the doctor/Backpack combo
http://www.cinebags.com/cb25b-revolution-backpack I'm a sucker for its look, but missing some sort of tripod attachment.
I used the C300 prefix, cause what fits the 300 should fit the 200. Oh and my 18-80 arrived, this need to fit in there too...
I know there are many threads about bags, so if you're up to sharing your experience with one of the mentioned bags or whatever is your favourite - thank you!
(If not: These aren't the droids your looking for...)
