C300: C300 problem with Canon 16-35mm

We have an odd problem with our C300 communicating with a Canon 16-35mm L II lens. It's happened with our lens and another identical lens, so I assume it's a problem with the camera. Basically when we try to close down the aperature it gets 'stuck' at 3.2 and the f stop display flickers as does the focal length. This doesn't happen with any other lens that we have.

I'm getting ready to call Canon to speak to their service, but I wondered if anyone else had this particular issue.

I have that lens, but don't use it for video purposes. Is it possible there is an aperture shift in the focal length range?

There shouldn't be an aperture shift in the focal length range, I don't believe. But even still, it's my inability to change the aperture that's the problem.

It is a problem with the lens. When you shoot stills with a DSLR with the same lens, you won't have issue. Video becomes a problem. Send it to canon.
