C300: C300 MKII - What`s inside the REC Out ?

Hello ,

i am wondering whats inside the REC-Out via SDI ?

If you attach it to an Atomos Inferno f.e. you can record "RAW" to ProRes Mov with a Custom Picture Profile like Clog2. (with all image processing [NoiseReduction, etc] done by the C300). So it`s not real RAW - since a PP is applied, etc..
and you also can record REAL DCNG RAW Files without any processing directly from the C300`s chip, too. Without any processing by the C300MkII. Within the SAME signal!?

So just to understand this - are there more than one signals paralell inside the REC-Out ? Or what kind of technique is this ?

You can set the camera up two different ways:

"RAW" out: 4k/LOG 2/Cinema Gamut (White balance/ISO Baked in)

2K out: Your choice of picture profiles and gammas. This is just to go to a lower compression prores option.
