I thought I saw somewhere that there was an option to magn 4 times VS 1 time on the subject to get a tight focus?

I only remember it going to 100 percent. But I'll be in the studio tomorrow and will dig it out and look... or...how bout we look at the online manual. The latest one, posted last year, says it magnifies approximately "2 times"...I think that means a doubling of the normal display size, not a 200% view of the image. I think that's close to a 1:1 pixel view...You can add peaking to that I believe.

I don't know how much this really helps, because it's an external monitor, but... The smallHD Focus monitors have "Pinch to Zoom", exactly like the iPhone(and probably every other phone). You can literally zoom into pixels. You can preset to zooms, like 2x and 4x, but the "Pinch to Zoom" is really all you need.
