C300: C300 MKII outputs "Illegal" signal when in Slow & Fast Motion

When switching from Normal recording to Slow & Fast Motion both our Flanders CM171 & Panasonic BT goes black.
Interesting that the Gratical HD and the Convergence Odyssey do not.
Notes:
Work around was to route the signal through the Odyssey
Happens in both 23.98 and 29.97
Both Monitor and Record BNC outputs
Routing through the Gratical does not work

Yeah I've noticed this too. The signal switches from a 60i pipe to a 60P pipe. Luckily it hasn't been a problem with any of my TVLogics, but I am curious have you tried switching the SDI Level from B to A?

I had this issue on a recent shoot as well. Slow and fast motion did work with the SmallHD 502 as well as my Marshall Steadicam monitor. It did not work with the Panasonic BT-LH1850 18.5". You can get playback, though, so we still used the Panasonic monitor for playback.

It's also annoying that you can't dual record in slow and fast motion modes. We started the day filming in regular 60p which gives us dual record and I think worked with the Panasonic monitor, along with auto-focus working. But the lack of being able to playback in slow motion led us to the slow and fast motion setting, plus we ended up going with 48 fps instead of 60 fps.

Just tried your suggestion - thanks for that - but still a NO GO

BTW. My Gratical goes black if 3G SDI level is B, but works in A.

BTW 2: Odyssey7Q takes any variation, also 2K (which very few monitors support) and spits out 1.5G HD at the other end. So a nice workaround for client monitoring (I prefer O7Q LUT over C300mk2 LUT anyways), but adds too much delay for a focus puller.

Do the other monitors that can't display the signal officially support 1080/60P? If they don't, your only only option is to loop through Odyssey7Q. Or use another monitor.

(I do own C300mk2, O7Q & Gratical)

Same problem with small HD DP line. Quite frustrating for my AC's.

I think I remember during a camera prep that we were able to get the SmallHD to work over HDMI, and the DP7's product page would appear to support that:
