C300: C300 MKI - Canon 30-300mm question

It's a poor man's Angenieux 24-290 T/2.95-3.7. Can be found for half price on the used market. Good for matching with other Canon lenses when you need a longer focal length and want a cinema lens rather than the 70-200 or 100-400. I've sorta thought of getting one, but I feel like it'd be most useful for events and events often don't want to pay that kind of money for lenses.

I used the Angenieux 24-290 on a commercial/doc shoot once. Large and heavy, for sure. Otherwise, great range and T/stop.

I've actually seen them paired with Alexa's and Amira's way more than Canon's. Good Lens. Big and heavy(ish)(Usually see it with 19mm rails, not 15mm), but generally well regarded.

I've used it many times. It's relatively light weight for the range it offers, extremely well built, dependable, and matches the CN-E zooms.
Pairs well with IBE Optics UMS adapter so you have your choice of mounts.

Since I shoot a lot of concerts I tend to rent about three at a time, I've never experienced a problem with this lens and they always match well.
As mentioned earlier, it's easier to use 19mm rod system or 15mm studio for motors and accessories.

What do you all think is up with the little labels all over that camera for the different functions? Do you think the labels are glow in the dark, to make up for the lack of illuminated labeling on the stock camera? I can't tell if the labels are placed over the standard labeling, if they painted over the standard labeling, or if the camera for some reason came sans any labeling of function controls and that's why the greenish labels are there.

Maybe they just reassigned the buttons for the shoot and labelled accordingly, though maybe they weren't there at all being a pre-production cam.

Back when redrock micro was actually a company...the good old days.

My original C300 is like that, to an extent. I re-assigned and customized buttons and then labeled them. I also have bits of colored gaffe tape on top of several buttons on my F55 for quick ID and some in other strategic places for similar function.
