C300: C300 mki + Allsteady + lens

Going to try and use the C300 MKI on the Allsteady but the lens I have are the Cine lens 18-35 which is heavy. So I figured if I could get a light weight lens I could use the Allsteady. I would want a prime between 14mm - 18mm Any thoughts?
 
Allsteady mentioned that I won't be able to use the C300 on that system. I will still have to try and see if I can make it work. Will give it a shot this weekend.
