C300: C300 MK II... issues connecting an external HD monitor (a tv)

So we just rented a C300 mk II for a food shoot, and we've now tried two HDMi cables, one brand new. Tried two different HD tvs with a total of 4 hdmi ports and we simply can't get a signal through.

I've double checked my basic settings, which would be 50hz, 25frames, hdmi enabled, also the recording mode is a simple 1920 rgb 4444.

Does any of you have any suggestions as to settings that might conflict with connecting an hdmi monitor?

In the meantime I have contacted the rental house and they are sending a replacement, but figured I'd still try to trouble shoot the issue while waiting.

Cheers

Unlikely this will help, but try checking it with some other framerate options.
I had similar experiences with the FS7, and none of my monitors would work unless I shot 29.97. No clue if that could be the scenario with this cam /monitor though.

EDIT-Whoops, somehow missed that you already did this option in your original description.

Make sure that under the Picture options in the Menu the Monitoring Options is changed from the Default LCD+VF to the MON+HDMI+LCD(VF) or whatever is the largest list of option.

By default, the camera comes with it's HDMI disables, and every once in a while, it trips me up after a reset!

Never found a solution, alas I didn't see you guys' posts till after the shoot. We tried two different tvs, with a total of 4 hdmi ports. Non of which worked. And this was with 2 different C300 II cameras.
The delivery guy for the rental house was in here as well to try and make it work.
I made sure the monitor + hdmi + etc was enabled and tried the other settings as well. Also made sure that I had the right settings after I reset the camera.

In the end we gave up and had to order a TVLogic monitor instead and ran that over the SDi.
Really bothers me. The thing is, I'm 100% sure that the tvs work, since I could hook up a 5D3 to them without issues.

"The camera is going to output whatever your internal settings at. It is all going to be PSF and there is no pull down. Hence, older monitors may not take PSF."

After searching I found this and this appears to be the issue. Not sure if it will get fixed.

I know this is too late but I am posting in case someone else runs into this problem.

2 select Mon. Terminal
