This is one from a series of 30 second videos I shot for Mount Gay Rum.

C300 mk II, Clog 3, Canon L lenses, 50mm 1.2 and 100mm 2.8 Macro mainly. Coloured with Film Convert.

I haven’t used Final Convert with C300mkII recently but I didn’t think the camera profile for Clog3 was very accurate.

I used the Kodak Vision 3 250D setting but brought the intensity of the look down quiet a bit.

I just bought FilmConvert myself and I'm really liking how it handles Clog-3. I've been struggling so far to get Clog-3 to really impress me the way CLog2 has. So far very pleased with the results I'm getting.

Parenthetically, lately I've been avoiding the camera/PP specific profiles in Filmconvert. I've been having more luck grading my image to decent looking rec709, and then I use the default Filmconvert profile on that primary grade. Maybe play with the opacity/intensity a bit. But that seems to be working better for me. But I'll have to try the Clog3 setting.

Nicely done footage, very classy, high end looking. Can you please talk about lighting it and frame rates? Also, how did you get the moves, Dana Dolly or ?

Thank you! Yes, we used a dana dolly. The key light was a Cineo HS through a 6x6 silk. There were also two very large windows to camera right and left which we shaped a little with a 12x solid.

Most of it was 23.98, some was 60 and the super tight shot of the orange zest was 120fps.

It was my first job with the camera, the highlight roll off really impressed me. The slow motion implementation and 120fps crop are my biggest annoyances.

Here are a couple more from the same series:
