C300: C300 Mark II Right Angle Cables

What is cm? Is that some foreign kind of measurement?

I've thought of buying the 3.3 ft cable, as when I'm using a cinema zoom lens on the camera, in order to balance it without a heavy counterweight, I need the camera far back on the shoulder, but still want the the LCD unit far up in front of me, so sometimes when using the stock cable I find it's not longer enough for that purpose, so I end up being limited on how far back on my shoulder I can slide the camera.

Only if you're in one of 3 countries in the world that doesn't use the metric system ... lol - in all seriousness though, larger cables would be nice though! C300ii on a gimbal is a stretch. Cables aren't long enough!

They have larger cables. You just have to buy them separately. No right angle, though.

I'm not clear if that is $350 for one cable or two. You'd obviously need two. I'd sure hope the $350 is for the pair of cables. $700 to get longer cables is a lot. Well, $350 is a lot too.

I wonder if you sacrificed one thrashed cable so they could dissect it or backward engineer it if you went to Markertek or another custom cable house and had them make up right angle cables of any length you needed? Not sure how proprietary the connections or cable are within the industry?

My understanding, going back to the original 300, because we all complained about the short cables and wanted longer ones available, it's all proprietary and Canon controls it. That's why you never saw any third party cables for the "pod" available. I always found it hard to believe that no one could or would build them, because there was huge demand for them.

Wow! I'd always assumed that was for a set of two cables, but it looks like it is one cable.

That's ~AU$1000 to get a pair in Australia or land them here.

People complain about Apple dongle prices, but this puts Canon in the laughable realm of Denons ridiculous cable pricing.

Wow, guess I'll be living with the stock C300 MKII cables when I get one. $700.00 buys a pair of nice new 128GB CFast cards.
