C300: C300 Mark II Focus Assist

So I'm on a shoot now and have a C300 Mark II with a Canon 50 l-series prime and a second C300 mark ii with a 24-70 l-series. The 50mm the focus assist feature (where the box turns green when you're in focus) is working, but on the 24-70 it's not working. Both lenses are set to manual focus. Is the focus assist only compatible with certain lenses or is there some menu function to enable it?

I haven't seen an EF still lens that doesn't work with it. Just a straight swap, working with 50mm - remove - put on 24-70 in MF - and nothing?

That's strange.

Hey Eric. Just tested going back and forth between 24 70 2.8 L and 50 1.2 L. All working fine. Enabled in the menu first and then turned it on/off as needed via assignable button 1.

Menu: "Assistance Functions". Toggle "Focus Guide" On. This enable the side handle functionality.

Doubt it matters but I should add that I didn't hot swap the lenses.

Hope that helps. Wish you well with the shoot.
