C300: C300 Mark II file name error!!!

Any one come across this before: I was filming a wedding yesterday, and this error came up on my screen: file name error. The card would no longer let me record anymore footage to it! So I thought, that's ok, I still have the other card in slot B to fall back on. Then later that day, that card did the same thing! I was screwed, had a camera that would no longer record. Luckily I had a 70d to fall back on. I've been using this camera for 7+ months and haven't seen it before. I'm using the latest firmware, any ideas?

Is the card brand/type on the Canon official supported list? Have you used these specific cards for the 7 months? If you cycle the power does the camera try any sort of error correction?

Thats a scary error. Hope it is just a specific card issue.

Did you try using it on a corporate or commercial gig after that? Maybe it just thinks it's too good for weddings.

The 70D takes SD cards. You could have tried an SD card in the SD card slot of the C300 Mark II and used that. The proxies look quite good, better than 70D footage.

Hi, the cards are the older Lexar ones. So I don't think they are approved. Yes, used these for the last 7 months. I don't think it's a card issue, as both cards went on the same day. I think it's a camera issue, specifically a file naming issue. It's almost the camera came to the end of its naming structure? If I format the cards I no longer have this issue.

I do format the cards, but sometimes I won't format the SD card just in case I loose something from the previous shoot.
