C300: C300 Mark II 12v charger

This may be a silly question, but is it possible to use the C300 Mark II battery charger with a 12v power source? Like a car cigarette socket? Or would some sort of inverter be required? If I do need an inverter, would something like this be ok:

No. That item in the link is rated 650mA. The chargers I'm seeing, for 300II are rated at 3A.

So something a bit more beefy would be required? Something like this:

I can't answer. I deleted my post after seeing the 3A was on the DC side. I have no idea what the I draw would be on the primary side of the transformer.
