C300: C300 LCD cable 1 & Warranty

Has anyone faced problems with the C300 LCD cable 1? I am told that it is a standard accessory and is not covered in warranty. I am curious if the warranty process is different in other countries.

Personally, I haven't had any issues(yet), but another shooter I know has had some problems with his. As far as warranty coverage, it can vary widely from country to country.

I would check the consumer legislation in your country. A supplier should be obliged to honer the minimum warranty required by the legislation.
Why would the fact that something is an accessory exclude it from warranty cover?

Not sure about the cable issues but the warranty is something I know about. Most camera manufacturers don't cover everything in the box when you buy with defective warranty. Things like batteries, cables and other things not permanently part of the camera. Some will make exceptions and it is usually a case to case basis.
