C300: C300 II Green/Magenta streaks

Hey all! I've been using my C300 II for a couple months now, and I'm pretty happy with it, but every once in a while I am noticing some weird magenta/green streaks across my image when I shoot into a large bright source (something I try to avoid at all costs usually).

Here's an example from a test I did the other day. I know the image looks terrible; I was just trying to push the shadows and highlights to see what would happen. You can see the magenta/green streaks running across her face.

I'm wondering if this is typical of this camera or if I have a faulty copy. Any thoughts?
 
It could be the problem with sensor streaks from hot sources. You see it in the C300 II because CLOG2 unearths the shadow area tremendously, CLOG hides it. Or it could be lens flare. Hard to tell without seeing the direct source.
